COVID-19 SOCIAL ECONOMIC RESPONSE PLAN
16 October 2020
Inspired by the United Nations Framework for the Immediate Socio-Economic Response to COVID-19 (United Nations 2020c), the COVID-19 Socio-Economic Response Plan was prepared under the overall leadership of Alain Noudéhou, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General, Humanitarian Coordinator and Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in South Sudan.
This document first presents an analysis of the socio-economic impact of COVID-19 in South Sudan. Based on such analysis, it proposes a set of priority interventions that can be translated into joint programmes by United Nations agencies, funds and programmes (AFPs) and the Mission.
